Folding gangways

Ensuring the safety of operators and other people working on the production site is a number one priority.

In the case of product transfer, loading / unloading or sampling operations in the food processing industry, many of these jobs are done on the top of tanks.

TECMECA PACQUET has designed and developed for your plant a range of products which allow you to ensure maximum safety during loading, unloading or sampling procedures, combining the different aspects of safety with ergonomics and ease of operation.

The folding gangway and safety cage allow access to the top of tanker trucks, rail tankers or other tanks in complete safety. The length of the cage is adapted to the length of the tank, to completely eliminate any danger of falling, whilst allowing access to all types of tank.

The dimensions of the cage and its rigidity allow the operator to use the loading arm without any danger of falling. The operation can be done manually, pneumatically or electrically. If the work zone is classified as an area with risk of explosion, the electrical control conforms to European and international standards (ATEX).

The equipment has 3, 4, 5 or 6 steps according to requirements and a safety cage/ cradle fixed to the gangway.

Please note: the steps remain horizontal whatever the angle of the gangway. Four adjustable counterbalancing devices with springs ensure the balance of the equipment whatever its position and a locked position for the equipment during storage. The gangways are generally made from galvanized steel, but can be made to order using plain or painted steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
